Note (1) Age 52y 5m 1d at time of death would put birth date at Feb-12-1844.  But age
22y 8m 14d at time of marriage puts it at Feb-16-1840, which is more in keeping
with ages of his siblings.
Note (2) Age 22y 10m 17d at time of marriage would put birth date at Dec 13 1839.  But
death record shows it as Dec 2 1836.
Note (3) Listed as Mahala Lowther in household of son Joseph T. Lowther.  1910 Census
stated that she was the mother of  8children, of which 6 were still living.
