On the 3rd inst., at West Union Doddridge county, Va., in the 59th year of her age, LYDIA DAVIS, consort of David L. 
Davis, in full prospect of enjoying a blissful immortality beyond this vale of tears.  Mrs. Davis has been an acceptable 
member of the M.E. Church for many years.  She was confined to the room for about one year before her death.  Her 
suffering was great, but with Christian fortitude she bore it until death put an end to her mortal pains. -- Thus has 
passed away another of our old citizens which calls to mind the words of our Savior, "Be ye also ready."
