Handwritten entry gives date of birth as 5/14/1843, but age at death (79y, 6m, 25d) puts birth at 5/14/1848, which coincides with other sources. Cause of death listed as tuberculosis. DR Bk 4, p. 81. Event Notes Note (1) In the1920 Census, son David Haught stated his father's birthplace as Pennsylvania and his mother's as West Virginia; but in the several censuses that included Peter B. Haught himself, he provided his own birthplace as Virginia.
