Event Notes
Note (1) "Davis - The Settlers of Salem WV," p. 112, reports birth date as Jan 27
1830.  But birth date on headstone is 1832, while the 1900 Census shows it as
Jan 1833.  The 1832 date would be in conflict with the birth date of his
adjacent sibling.
Note (2) Age 25 at time of 1858 marriage would put birth in about 1833, while 1900
Census states birth date as Jan 1837.  But "Davis - The Settlers of Salem WV,"
p. 112, reports birth date as 1842, while her headstone shows her birth date as
1841.  She did not appear with her family in the 1850 Census.  However, there
was a Hannah Buck found in the household of Samuel P. Randolph in the 1850
Census, age 19, which would put her birth year in about 1831.
