Lowther," but is frequently transcribed as "Wm. Q. Lowther." Note (2) William Lowther's obituary incorrectly states marriage date as Nov 19 1849. Three of their children are known to have been born before then, Minnie Kendall Lowther reports marriage date as 1840 in both of her books, and "Harrison County WV Marriages 1785-1894," p. 96, shows marriage date as Nov 19 1840.
