Note (1) Death date on headstone is May 30 1899, but death record shows it as May 31
1899.
Note (2) Susie Davis Nicholson, p. 68, reports birth of Julia Ann Davis as Mar 5 1833
in Harrison Co. But death record of Julian (sic) Davis Waller shows her birth
as Mar 20 1833 in Doddridge Co. Doddridge County was created by an act of the
Virginia General Assembly on Feb 4 1845 from parts of Harrison, Lewis, Tyler,
and Ritchie counties.
Note (3) Death record states birth date as Jan 16 1855. But 1870 Census shows his age
as 12, two years younger than sister Rachel and three years older than brother
George. Birth date was given in the 1900 Census as Jan 1860, age 40.
Note (4) Age 30y 5d in death record would put his birth date at May 12 1867. But age
9 in the 1870 Census and age 17 in 1880 puts it in about 1861 or 1863, while his
stated age in his marriage record puts in exactly in between, at about 1862.
Either way, the age in his death record appears to be incorrect.
