Hallam, vouched for by Samuel Preston Fitz Randolph. On Aug 21 1843, a $150 bond was posted by Ephraim Bee as surety for the intended marriage between Henry T. Hallam and Elizabeth Burnside. But subsequent court documents show that Hallam reneged, that the marriage never occurred, and that Elizabeth Burnside sued Ephraim Bee for slanderous statements that led to Hallam's change of heart. Relationship, if any, between Henry T.
