Note (2) Death record states birth date as Jun 22 1895, but age 19 at time of June 1917 marriage would put birth in about 1898, and 1900 Census shows age as 1, with birth date July 1898. Note (3) When Arzie McIntyre enlisted in the Army, he misstated his age by providing the birth date of his older brother Argil, Jun 15 1918. Doddridge County birth records show that Arzie was born on July 31 1920. Note (4) Birth date given in obituary and in SSDI as Jun 10 1929. But he was not present for the 1930 Census, and his birth record shows his birth date as Jun 10 1931. It would be only speculation to suggest that the discrepancy results from him misstating his age in order to enter the Army in 1948, just as his brother Arzie did before him.
