Middle Island, Doddridge Co, (W)VA
Notes:
Middle Island was the early settlement in present-day Doddridge County that today is considered the area between Blandville and Meathouse Fork. The "early settlement" would have been bounded by Israels Fork, Rock Run, Buckeye and Meathouse Fork. It probably did not come as far west as Lewisport, now known as the Blockhouse Hill portion of West Union.
