NOTE: The three young children were actually Elizabeth's grandchildren, children of Almeda and Salathiel Davis. In this census, Salathiel was enumerated in his parents' household in Doddridge County, giving his marital status as widowed and stating that he was suffering from consumption. He died five months later. [4]
