- Pfc H. Thornton Freeman died March 17, 1945, at an Army hospital in Wales of wounds received in action in Germany on Feb 14, 1945, while serving with the 22nd Infantry, Third Division. He had been overseas since January 3rd, and had been in the service since August 1944, having completed training at Camp Blanding, Florida. He was formerly employed at the Glenn L. Martin Company in Baltimore. [2]
