"The sad news came here Saturday that Earl Jones, son of Frank Jones of Morgansville, and who was well known in this section of the county, had died from wounds received in a battle in France. Word was also received that Alfred Haught, son of J. C. Haught, of Bristol, but who formerly resided in Doddridge County, had lost his life in France in the service of his country."
