    1. [S14] Obituary.
      An obituary appeared in the Apr 7 1938 issue of both West Union weekly newspapers. In the version of the obituary printed in "The Herald," the birth date was incorrectly stated as Apr 26 1879. The version in "The Record" gave the birth date as Apr 26 1881, as does the death certificate. It is noted that Edgar A. Davis did not appear with his family in the 1880 Census, his older sister Alice, at 11 months, being the youngest child listed.
