Another account (The Gaston Genealogy by Jane Farrell Burgess) lists 7 children as Mary, William, Joseph, Hugh, Isabella, John, & James W. Yet another account (Anna Reger Gaston's "Gaston Family Lines of Somerset") lists only William, Mary, Jane and John. We list here a combination of the accounts.
