      Identified as Mary Britton, b. Apr 12 1881, dau of J. S. & Mary J. Britton. This is in conflict with the Apr 12 1880 on her headstone and the Apr 1880 birth date in the 1880 and 1900 censuses. Basis for the incorrect entry is not known.

      Identified as Mary J. Britton, single, died Sep 2 1901at Summers. Cause of death given as typhoid fever and hemorrhage of the bowels. Age at death given as 20, which would be incorrect by one year based on the Apr 12 1880 birthdate on headstone and as indicated in the 1880 and 1900 censuses. Birth record shows birthdate to have been one year later, on Apr 12 1881, believed to be incorrect. Both Mary J. Britton and her older sister Martha A. Britton died on the same day, of typhoid fever.
