Harshbarger, West Union. Physician filing death certificate: C. McClelland, M.D., West Union. Date of report: March 1 1895.

      (2) DR p. 90, Line 1148: Identified as Ducket W. Gatrell, white male, 54, married, occupation barber; died Feb 24 1895 at West Union, cause of death "Disease of lungs and Rectum & Chronic Gastric Catarrh," buried at Duckworth on Feb 26 1895. Undertaker R. Harshbarger, West Union. Physician filing death certificate (blank). Date of report: (blank).

      NOTE: Judging from clues in the surrounding entries in the ledger-style death register, the first entry was probably filed by the physician and the second by the undertaker. Although both entries indicate a death date of Feb 24 1895, Ducket Gatrell's headstone shows it as Feb 22 1895.
