    • Local news item, "West Union Herald," Thursday, Oct 10 1918, in its entirety:
      "Mrs. Worthy Adams, of Philadelphia, is visiting her parents, M. L. Haught and wife. Her husband is employed in the government shipyards at Hog Island, near Philadelphia."

      Mary Ellen Haught and Worthy Eugene Adams were double cousins, in that they were third cousins (both were great-great-grandchildren of John Gaston Jr. (b. 1752 in NJ)) and also fifth cousins (both were g-g-g-g-grandchildren of John Smith (b. 1699)).
