"July 24, 1918
"Dr. D. Leeson filed his petition praying that a committee be appointed by said clerk for Eli B. Leeson, a person unable to transact his business, and after hearing the evidence the Clerk appointed W. F. Squires Committee who took the oath required by law and entered into a bond in the penalty of $300, with John W. Hart and Dr. D. Leeson as his surety."

Groom identified as Eli B. Leason [sic], age 28, b. Harrison Co, Va., son of William & Nancy. Bride identified as Claundi [sic] McIntire, age 22, b. Harrison Co, Va, dau of Charles & Eliza. Ceremony held Dec 29 1861. The handwritten entry of the bride's name was immediately overwritten to reflect the above spellings, but even then the entry was not entirely clear. The name Claudia has also been offered as her name, but the entry does not appear to say that.
