George W. Evans, 64, b. Pa, plumber, married 41 yrs (1st marriage); wife Mary J, 64, b. WVa, married 41 yrs (1st marriage), mother of 7 children (5 still living).
Local news item, "West Union Herald," Thursday, Oct 28 1915, in its entirety:
"From a letter received by Judge Farr, it is learned that George W. Evans, who once lived here and was Constable and town Sergeant, with his wife are now living at a Soldiers home near San Francisco, Cal., two of their children live in that city, and three of them live in Oregon."
(NOTE: The location of the Soldiers Home was actually in Sawtelle, near Los Angeles.)
