WEST UNION BOY SERIOUSLY HURT AT NEW BREMEN
"Last Saturday, James Thorndell was seriously hurt at New Bremen, Ohio. It is not known just how it happened, but he was working with an unloader when he was struck on the head with a piece of timber. He was rendered unconscious and had not rallied Monday. He was reared here and is well known."

"James Thorndell, a former prominent member of West Union's Jubilee Company, but who now holds a lucrative job at Bremen, O., was visiting his brother C. S. Thorndell and other West Union friends over Sunday."
