Local news item, "West Union Record," Thursday, Aug 31 1916, in its entirety:
"The family of Sherry Davis, formerly of Rock Run, now of Greenbrier, is grievously afflicted with typhoid fever. Six members of the family have had the scourge, and two children have died, Frevva [Treva], aged 8 years, being the last one, dying Monday."
