George L. Rymer, 68, b. Sep 1831, married 20 yrs; wife Mary L, 50, b. Sep 1849, mother of 4 children (3 still living); dau Dora E, 17, b. Feb 1883; dau Mary J, 16, b. Feb 1884; son James W, 14, b. Jul 1885; grandson Camden C, 23, b. Oct 1876.
1910 Census, Doddridge Co, WV (New Milton District), enumerated on Apr 18 1910:
George W. (sic) Rymer, 76, farmer, widowed; dau Dora, 27, single; dau Mary, 27, single; grandson Oras, 6; grandson Burel, 6.
(NOTE: The will of George L. Rymer, written in 1909, in addition to stating how his estate was to be split among his five children, also included the following instruction regarding his grandchildren: "My three sons as above named are to pay to each of my two grandchildren the sum of ($20.00) Twenty Dollars: that is to say that each of the two grandchildren is to have the sum of Sixty Dollars: said amounts to be paid when each of the two said children become of the age of twenty-one years old. One of the said grandchildren is the son of my daughter Dora, and its name is Wm. O. Rymer; and the other child is the child of Mary Jane, and its name is Burl. The land mentioned in this will is to be held good for said amounts of $60.00 Sixty dollars to each grandchild as named above."
