Notes for: Emeretta Tucker
Emeretta "Emma" Tucker is the child mentioned, but not named, in the Chancery Court case of the Doddridge County Poor House vs. Luke Jaco. The case file mentions that she was born at the house of John Fleming (whose son, Thomas, later married Susan Tucker's sister, Cassa Tucker). Susan Tucker never married, nor did her sister, Ann, who had 4 illegitimate children. Susan Tucker was also the mother of the Benjamin F Tucker (b. 1843) mentioned in Doddridge County Chancery files as being another of Luke Jaco's illegitimate children.
