Notes for: Isaac Hazlett Gaston
Received his early education in the public schools of Morristown, OH. He entered Washington-Jefferson College in 1876, graduating in 1879. He then entered the law office of the Hon. L. Danford. In 1884 he was elected probate judge of Belmont Co, re-elected in 87. When first elected, he was the youngest man ever chosen to that office in that part of Ohio, but its duties were discharged with such dignity and ability that at his second election, his majority was more than doubled.
