Notes for: Thomas Paine

Having lost one eye by an arrow while still in England, Thomas Paine came to America with his father, settling at the head of Cove in Kesscayogansett, Eastham, now Orleans, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. He built mills and served for many years as deputy.
