Local news item, "West Union Herald," July 17 1913, in its entirety:
"We are informed that during the recent heavy rains, the basement of the court house became flooded, spoiling a number of articles belonging to Mrs. Nellie Bee, who has her household goods stored there, among them being several copies of Harper's Magazine, which had been bound and were very highly prized, and some handsome volumes of Dickens' works."
Local news item in a report of Circuit Court proceedings, "Doddridge County Republican," Jul 29 1915, in its entirety:
"Nellie L. Bee against Lelia Bee. Decree confirming the sale of lots 118, 120 and fractional lot No. 122 in the Neely addition, to Frank Ramsey and J. D. Foley."
