Notes for: John Gaston

Provided non-military patriotic support during the American Revolutionary War. Was a farmer and active merchant in Somerset County, and was also active in building bridges in his area. From 1772 to 1776, John Gaston was the Clerk of the Board of Freeholders. He was also a member of the Lamington Presbyterian Church.
