Notes for: William Jackson Hickman
"He was a prominent farmer and a President and General Manager of the Pritchard Telephone Company, and at the time of his demise was a Director in said corporation. He spent ten years in the teaching profession in rural schools and also served on the District Board of Education. ... He was an energetic and unceasing laborer when able to perform his daily tasks, and was always ready to contribute to the needs of the unfortunates. His acts of kindness will be greatly missed in the community in which he lived, more so in the home, and later by the grandson which he adored so much."
