1910 Census, Doddridge Co, WV (Southwest District), enumerated on Apr 29 1910:
David Ball, 64, farmer, married 39 yrs (first marriage); wife Sophron, 56, married 39 yrs (first marriage), mother of 10 children (2 still living); son John, 24, farmer; son Ara, 19, farmer.

"Ritchie County Cemeteries through 1993," p. 499, reports the existence of the Ball Cemetery, located 1.6 miles north of County Route 9 on County Road 9/9 (aka Right Fork White Oak Creek), with four discernible graves, only one of which had a readable marker: BALL, Infants, children of David B. & Mary J. Ball. (no dates)
