In the 1900 , 1910 and 1920 censuses, Clay Corder was listed as a nephew in the household of Adelbert & Mary (Brown) Corder. He was identified in the 1940 obituary of Mary Brown Corder as "a foster son, Clay Corder, of Fairview."
