Notes for: Robert Elwood Hurst

Served with the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II, receiving the Purple Heart on June 1 1944 at Anzio. After his military service, he worked for several years as a truck driver for Conoco Gas Co in Ohio and Texas. His last 15 years of employment was with the Doddridge County School System as a bus driver in the Long Run area.
