Local news item, "Doddridge County Republican," Thursday, Sep 28 1916, in its entirety:
"Miss Lillian Maxwell, accompanied by her brother, J. Forest Maxwell, left Tuesday morning for Roanoake, Va., where Miss Maxwell will enter the Virginia Female College."
