Notes for: Joseph Wisby

Joseph Wisby served in the War of 1812, for which his wife Jane received a Bounty Land Warrant, #50-40-Wt. 48,872. The 1820 Census of Brown County, OH, shows Joseph and Jane with seven children, one boy and six girls. The family was in Highland Co, OH for the 1830 Census. The 1934 Cincinnati City Directory shows Jane Wisby, a widow & seamstress. She was listed in the 1850 Census of Hamilton Co, with eldest son Return Meigs Wisby, but was not in 1860 Census.
