Notes for: Oran Curtis
Local news item, "West Union Record," Thursday, Feb 10 1916, in its entirety:
"Oran Curtis, a well-known and prosperous farmer of Ashley, was a guest of the Columbian Friday night. He had been on a visit to his daughter Mrs. Ash in Meigs County, O., and looking at some farms there with a view of purchasing. He did not buy, however, and Doddridge will not lose this good citizen at the present."
Local news item, "Doddridge County Republican," Thursday, Oct 12 1916, in its entirety:
"Mr. Oran Curtis of Broad Run was a Tuesday's visitor, and while here informed us that he contemplates moving to Ohio in the near future, having bought a nice little farm out on the ridge some three miles from Long Bottom in Meigs County. This is the fourt spendid citizen that Doddridge has given to Meigs in the last few years, the other three that we now remember being D. L. Pigott, Deck Allen and Wm. Mowery."
