A daughter of Stephen and Sabrina Davis Hughes, she was the great-granddaughter of Johnathan Hughes, an Indian Scout and Ensign in the Navy during the Revolutionary War. A marker was erected at this grave in the Eddy Cemetery in 1925 by the DAR. [2]
