      NOTE: Ora Vance Haught's wife Verna was enumerated in this census in Wabash (West Union), Doddridge County.
      The next enumerated household was that of William Preston Haught and his family.
      W. Preston Haught, 53, 4 yrs college, occupation (blank); wife Mayme R, 48, 4 yrs college, occupation (blank); son Francis Lee, 9; son Clarence Preston, 6.

      Doddridge County birth records (Book 3, Page 91) show an unnamed male Haught born to J. C. Haught and Anna E. Haught on June 28, 1898. Unclear whether this is one of the seven more fully identified children known to have been born to this couple.

      The will of Peter B. Haught (Will Book 1, p. 133, dated Jun 6 1883) left all to two of his sons, M. L. & D. M. Haught. As for son John, the will stated "I consider that John C. Haught have got his share in Hogs, Cattle and money. But I give and bequeath him five dollars when my business is all settled."
