DEATH OF MRS. SCOTT
Mrs. Liza E. Scott, wife of Henry Scott, died at the asylum at Weston on the 4th. The body was brought to this place Saturday evening on the accommodation and taken to the home of Oran Scott, a stepson. On Sunday morning the remains were taken to the Coleman cemetery, where funeral services were conducted by the Rev. A. L. Burcher, a minister of the Christian Church. She leaves a husband and three children, four brothers and three sisters.
She was a sister of Rev. T. J., John A., Isaac M., and Joseph Smith. She has two sisters at Gillispieville, Ohio, and one, Mrs. Nancy J. Scott, at this place.
A. J. Osborne was the undertaker."

Identified as Mrs. Henry Scott, white female, age (first digit obscured, second digit zero), place of birth Doddridge County, married; died Dec 16 1911, cause of death insanity.
(NOTE: The ledger-style death record has a column for Place of Birth, but not for Place of Death. The implication for this and the many other deaths recorded on the page is that the location of death was Doddridge County. In this case, however, the deceased's obituary states that she "died at the asylum at Weston on the 4th." Thus, both the place and date of her death were other than as indicated in her death record.
