Name William "Old Bill" CHILDERS Suffix Jr. Born CA 1763 [1] Gender Male Died 1839 - "Descendants of Robert Lowther," by Don Norman, reports death date as December 1839. But Harrison County Chancery Case No. 83, File 9, pertaining to a land dispute between Lewis Maxwell and Jonathan Howell, contains a deposition of "Sudna Childers, widow of William Childers," dated October 23, 1839. William Childers himself had testified at the beginning of the lawsuit in 1838, so his death was either later in 1838 or in 1839 prior to the October deposition of his widow.
