- She was employed in several places including a florist, bank teller, the Red Cross, a Practical Nurse, and a Senior Certification Officer for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). She also served as a musician and soloist for several groups, organizations, churches, and events with the WV IOOF. She was a self-taught artist and pianist.
Charlotte was proud to be a Rebekah. She was initiated into the Progress Rebekah Lodge #134 in Wallace, WV, and then transferred to the Shinnston Rebekah Lodge #47 on June 22,2006, where she served as a Past Noble Grand and Past District Deputy President for Region #9. She continued her faithful service, earning the higher degrees of this order, being initiated on April 21, 1989, into the Clarksburg Ladies Auxiliary Patriarchs Militant (LAPM) #9, where she served as West Virginia's state president of the LAPM from 1996 - 1997, and was initiated on April 10, 1995, into the Star Ladies Encampment Auxiliary (LEA) #104.
