The death record clearly shows death date as Aug 24 1893, and age 88y 10m 12d would put birth date at Oct 12 1804. Headstone dates are Aug 8 1810 - Aug 26 1893. But age 36 in 1850 Census, age 56 in 1870 Census, and age 65 in 1880 Census would put birth in about 1814 or 1815, which we consider more reliable because of the consistency over the years.
