    • There is some disagreement among researchers as to Isaac R. Swisher's name. Variations offered are Isaac Lewis Swisher, Lewis Isaac Swisher, and Isaac R. Swisher. Based on information in the death records of his son & grandson, we conclude it was Isaac R. Swisher. Researcher E. Murray Taylor is in agreement with this, theorizing that the commonly found variation Lewis Isaac Swisher originated in the hand-written marriage record of Isaac Swisher being married in Lewis County.
