      Father listed as Charlie Luther Perine, b. in West Union; mother listed as Betty Ware, b. in Smithburg, WV. Birthplace of child given as West Union. Entry in this delayed birth record was based on information provided in an affidavit filed by grandfather L. M. Perine on Aug 23 1955. But birth announcement in West Union Herald of Mar 17 1949 states that the child, Marion Donald Perine, was born Mar 7 1949 "in a Parkersburg hospital," and that the child was "the second child and second son" of his parents. Given the source and time lapse of the birth record information, the newspaper birth announcement is deemed more reliable in this case. His obituary states that he "was born March 7, 1949, in Parkersburg, to Betty Adcock McWilliams, of Bentleyville, PA, and the late Charley Luther Perine."
