Isaac: The following is a notation in the back of Isaac Davis' Bible: "Susanna Cassaday, daughter of Felix and Susanna Cassaday, born 20 February 1789, the intended wife if Isaac Davis." [per Sam D. Lawson] When Isaac Davis married Frances West, it was his second marriage. In the 1850 Census of Harrison County, Isaac Davis was described as blind and working as a potter. [William F. Ruanna West and Watters Smith Jr. were double cousins, in that they were both first cousins once removed (he was the grandson and she was the great-granddaughter of Andrew Davison (b. ca 1730 in NJ)) and also second cousins once removed (he was the great-grandson & she the great-great-granddaughter of John Smith (b. 1699)).

Watters: The family of Watters Smith Jr. lived on the
farm later owned by Albert McWhorter (kin) in 1971 on Duck Creek near the
"new" school house. He was a
Confederate sympathizer, although this is disputed by some family members. As Union soldiers arresting him took him away
from home, he pulled a silver dollar from his pocket and threw it to his son
Edward, who vowed to hold it till his father's safe return. As a prisoner, he was sent to
