(Note: Daughter Gladys' marital status is incorrect. Her husband was alone (marital status married) in this Census in Parkersburg, he appeared with her and their children in the 1940 Census, and he is known to have remarried in 1961.)

1940 Census, Doddridge Co, WV (West Union District), enumerated in May 1940 at Rock Run:
Everett Smith, 38, foundry worker; wife Gladys, 34; son Richard, 17; son Billie E, 16; son James, 14; dau Mary, 8 (?).

By virtue of their descendancy from Isaac Oscar Smith, Everett Leo Smith and Gladys Fay Coleman were first cousins once removed.
