Notes for: Cornelia Leeson

Obituary of daughter Dorothy identifies her as the "daughter of the late Thomas Forest and Carnelia Leason Critchfield." Thomas Forest Critchfield was actually Dorothy's brother. Marriage record has his name as Thomas I. Crihfield [sic], while obituary of wife identifies him simply as Thomas Critchfield. His own death record identifies him as Thomas Irven Critchfield Sr. and incorrectly identifies his father as Thomas Irvin Critchfield.

Thomas I. Crichfield, b. Mar 1861, married 11 yrs; wife Cornelia, 27, mother of 5 children (all still living); dau Dollie H, b. Jun 1890; son Homer, b. Sep 1892; son Earnest, b. Dec 1894; son Forest, b. Feb 1897; dau Dortha, b. Aug 1899.

1920 Census, Doddridge Co, WV (Southwest District):
Thomas I. Crihfield, 58; wife Cornelia, 28; son Forest, 22; son Hilton, 15; son Porter, 13; dau Willie C, 11; son Thomas I, 9.

1930 Census, Doddridge Co, WV (Southwest District):
Cornelia Critchfield, 52, married; son Thomas I, 19, single.
