Notes for: Nancy (Fancy) Nutter

1880 Census, Ritchie Co, WV (Union District), enumerated on Jun 19 1880:
Blackburn Hayhurst, 34, farmer; wife Nancy, 25; son Sanford L, 14; dau Rosanna, 12; dau Depha, 10; dau Emma, 8; son Mac, 7; dau Nurtle, 6; son Joseph, 1.
(It is noted that Nancy's name was given as Fancy in daughter Rosanna's death record, and that Nancy's birth date on her headstone is reported as 1860, making her too young to be Rosanna's mother. But her age is given as 76 at the time of her 1923 death, putting her birth in about 1847, about two years younger than her husband. No record of this family was found in the 1870 Census.)
