In the 1860 Census, Nancy Rollins, 45, was found in Ritchie County, listed as a househand in the household of Samuel Wiseman, 25, and his family. In a nearby household, her daughter Susan, 14, was found with the family of Hiram S. Dodson (Dotson), 36, and his wife Susan.

In the 1870 Census of Central District, Doddridge County, Nancy Rollins, 54, was found living alone. The next enumerated household was that of Sarah A. Prunty, 55.
