NOTE: The 48-year-old female, misidentified as W. Snider, was wife Elizabeth (Grogg) Snider. The 16-year-old male, misidentified as A. Snider, was son Israel Snider. The 6-year-old male, misidentified as T. J. Snider, was son Leommis James Snider, who was actually only 4 years old based on his birth record.
1870 Census, Roane Co, WV (Spencer Twp), enumerated on Aug 17 1870:
John W. Snider, 57, farmer, value of real estate $1,500, value of personal estate $600; Elizabeth, 53, cannot write; Mandeville, 20, cannot write; Eliza, 21; Louisa, 16; Leommis J, 14; Edward T, 12.
NOTE: The reason for daughter Louesa B. Snider's absence from the 1860 Census is not known.
