On Dec 22 1913, Michael C. Ingram of Salem WV, on behalf of himself, his wife Anna, and their five children, applied for a U.S. Passport for travel to an unspecified destination. The passport was issued on Dec 24 1913. On Mar 19 1914, Michael C. Ingram (born in West Virginia, residence in Clarksburg) arrived at the port of New York on the ship Imperator, having sailed from Cherbourg, France five days earlier. Presumably traveling with him, based on the name and adjacent entry in the Immigration Service log, was Abraham Ingram, born Dec 11 1856 in West Virginia, residence in Chicago. No relationship was indicated, and no other fellow travelers of Michael Ingram were evident. Based on the 1880 Census of Marshall Co, Illinois, Abraham Ingram was a son of Seth Ingram (b. ca 1815 in Pa) & Mary Dorsey (b. ca 1820 in WVa).
