Notes for: Judith Modisette

1850 Census, Doddridge County , Virginia (now West Virginia), enumerated on Jul 31 1850:
Abner Maxwell, 63, b. Pennsylvania, farmer, value of real estate $400; Judy, 50; Amy M, 17; Lewis, 19; Charles, 19; Abner, 15; James, 13; Robert, 11; Frances J, 15.
(NOTE: The identity of Frances J, age 15, is not clear. No other record of her has been found. Since she was listed out of sequence, and since Abner and Judith (Judy) already had a daughter Frances J. ten years older who had married in 1848, it is unlikely that they gave another daughter the same name.)

1860 Census, Doddridge Co, Virginia (now West Virginia), enumerated on Jul 13 1860:
